MOVEMENTS FUND
We need your help to fund the participation of 60 movement representatives at our 2025 Annual Conference, “From Pledge to Action: Accountability in Philanthropy”. Contributions of any size are welcome as we work towards our goal of 200,000 USD.
We define “movement representatives "as being broader than one individual or organization, consisting of civil society groups, activists and grassroots groups that take a systemic change perspective to social justice issues such as the climate emergency, racial (in)justice, feminist gender and economic (in)equity.
The involvement of movement representatives in funder spaces is vital to EDGE’s systemic change strategies. Movements build power towards systemic alternatives that need to be funded urgently. This fund will enable us to achieve a balanced, global representation of movements—bringing together activists with deep local roots in Colombia, a regional focus across Latin America and the Caribbean, and a global perspective.

You can support this fund through the Movements Fund’s crowdfunding box (at the bottom of this page) or by reaching out to Kinga at kinga@edgefunders.org
Help us bring 60 feminists, indigenous leaders, peasants, economists, lawyers, disruptors and new-world makers to our 2025 conference.
YOUR FUNDS WILL COVER:
01
TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATION
1. All conference travel and accommodation costs for movement participants as well as compensation for their time at the conference.
02
PRE-CONFERENCE MEETINGS
Money and power create an imbalance between funders and movements. We will hold 1-1 conversations with those new to EDGE space and a series of pre-conference orientations for all participants to ensure all are fully supported in their engagement at the conference.
03
MOVEMENT-ONLY SPACES:
Our members and partners are clear that in-person Movement relationship building and organizing are necessary but severely underfunded tools for building systemic alternatives. This year’s conference will include movement-only spaces designed to support this.
